Club T&Cs

  1. General Terms and Conditions:

Riverport Vets Ltd (company no 12048483) is a small animal veterinary practice trading from registered address 39 Edison Road, St Ives, Cambs, PE27 3LF.  By completing and submitting your HPC registration you confirm that you are the legal owner of the pet(s) listed on your registration form and that you wish to enter into a contract for membership of the Healthy Pet Club with Riverport Vets Ltd subject to these terms and conditions.  The Healthy Pet Club (HPC) is a contract between you and Riverport Vets Ltd and is not transferable to any other businesses.  For the purposes of this contract, any reference to the Healthy Pet Club (HPC) also refers to the Healthy Pet Club Unleashed (HPCU) unless specified otherwise.  References to the Healthy Pet Club Unleashed do not refer to the Healthy Pet Club unless specified.

Treatment outside of that referred to in the HPC/HPCU or any offers related to the HPC/HPCU are available to members of the HPC/HPCU and will be charged at our standard rates

For avoidance of doubt, Riverport Vets staff have absolute discretion as to the medicines and treatments provided under the terms of this agreement

We reserve the right to refuse admission to the HPC/HPCU for any reason

Where you have provided us with an email address, you agree to accept service of correspondence by email to that address. If you require correspondence to be sent by post then please notify Riverport Vets Ltd of your preference by writing to us at the address above.

This agreement is governed by the laws of England & Wales.  The courts of England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or dispute arising under this agreement.

  1. Benefits:

Healthy Pet Club:

On submission of your completed registration and payment of the first monthly fee you will be entitled to receive the following benefits for the pet(s) named on your registration form:

Dogs/Cats:

  • Primary vaccination course or annual vaccination booster (including KC for dogs)
  • Annual parasite protection as deemed appropriate by your clinician
  • Microchipping
  • 15% off neutering
  • 30% off dentals
  • 30% off in-house laboratory work (blood and urine tests)
  • 1 free vet consult each year
  • Free nurse consults throughout the year
  • No insurance admin fees
  • 30% off behaviour consultations
  • Free Senior Pet Clinics

Rabbits:

  • Vaccination once yearly
  • 1 bag of hay annually
  • 1 pack of rearguard annually
  • Microchipping
  • 15% off neutering
  • 30% off dentals (excluding preGA blood work)
  • 1 free vet consult each year
  • Free nurse consults throughout the year
  • No insurance admin fees

Healthy Pet Club Unleashed:

This applies to dogs and cats only, not rabbits.

Membership must be of HPC or HPCU, not both concurrently.

The HPCU includes all the same benefits as the HPC plus:

  • Home delivery of flea and worming products
  • Unlimited vet consultations* (subject to fair usage policy)
  • Free behaviour advice calls when appropriate

*Fair usage of unlimited vet and nurse consults must be followed.  This means each appointment made by the client and taken as a benefit under the HPC/HPCU should be clinically necessary.  Consultations booked for frivolous or non-clinical reasons may result in a cap being introduced to the number of consultations allowed or even in the client being removed from the HPC/HPCU  Riverport Vets has the sole and final say in deciding what constitutes clinical necessity.

  1. Charges:

The fee paid for an animal to be a member of the HPC/HPCU will be decided by the species and weight of the animal as described on our website and promotional material.  These charges are on a monthly basis and as advertised are inclusive of VAT.

If an animal changes weight during the term of the policy and this weight change results in it being classed in a higher or lower price category on the HPC, then the monthly direct debits will change (up or down) with immediate effect rather than waiting until the next policy renewal

Any price increases (other than caused by a change in an animal’s weight category) will only take effect the following year and will not affect a client’s plan until renewal.  Clients will be given 30 days notice of any price increases

If you sign up to the scheme and pay the first month’s DD cost that day, then all the treatment covered by the scheme you have received on that day is covered and no extra charges are payable (eg. sign up at your vaccination and that vaccination is covered under the scheme).  Products received on that day that are not covered under the scheme would still be payable

Refunds are granted at the sole discretion of the Directors

Clients switching from either the HPC to the HPCU during the middle of the contract or from the HPCU to the HPC in the middle of a contract will have shortfall charges to pay (see below)

  1. Payment:

We will use a direct debit agency to collect the monthly charges

We use Vet Success (formerly Easy Direct Debits Ltd) to collect Direct Debits on our behalf, and your bank statements will show a payment to Vet Success Ltd on behalf of Riverport Vets Ltd. For the avoidance of doubt, your agreement is with Riverport Vets Ltd. Vet Success merely provide support to the practice, which includes transferring your payments

In the event of a non-payment or 3 failed attempts to take a single direct debit, you will be charged the full price of the treatment you have already received, minus the amount already paid in direct debits that year

Unpaid bills will be handled according to our standard terms and conditions and may end up being pursued by a debt collector

  1. Term:

This contract runs for 1 year (12 months)

The HPC/HPCU renews annually automatically unless we are instructed by you to cancel.  You will get notification of the renewal at least 30 days in advance of the renewal date

  1. Data Protection:

Vet Success Limited and Riverport Vets Ltd will hold and use your personal data (as defined by the Data Protection Act 1988) for the purpose of administering your preventative healthcare plan.

We will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the security of your data. Your data will not be shared with anyone else unless there is a legal requirement for us to do so.

  1. Termination:

You can cancel your membership of the Healthy Pet Club/Healthy Pet Club Unleashed at any time, but if you do so then you will be liable for the treatment already provided since your renewal (see below).  Cancelling the membership at the renewal date does not result in any outstanding fees unless you have had more than your yearly entitlement of treatment for the past year

If you cancel your direct debit before the year is up then you will be liable to pay the full cost of the treatment you have already had, with none of the discounts afforded by the HPC/HPCU, minus the amount you have already paid in direct debits.  If the amount you have already paid in direct debits exceeds the cost of the treatment you have received then the monies owed will be refunded to you

We may terminate the agreement at any time and for any reason in writing to you, and you will not be liable for any extra charges in respect of the treatment already received.
